Why Antonio + Polyvinyl?

Before anything else, I have to express how meaningful it is to apply for the Creative Assistant role at Polyvinyl Records. The label has been a constant North Star for me, both personally and throughout my professional journey. I’ve followed your trajectory closely to know that Polyvinyl isn’t just a business, it’s a culture. So, allow me to introduce myself and show you why I’m the right fit for the team.

Some stories begin with "Once upon a time," and others with "In a faraway land." Mine begins with loud music, band posters plastered on the walls, and an insatiable curiosity about what happens behind the curtain.

My professional path followed a classic trajectory of design studies and years in advertising agencies and design studios, always within the art department. But there was always a missing link: a passion for music that the corporate world couldn't quite satisfy. Driven by that gap, I dove headfirst into the independent scene, founding my own label, Hearts Bleed Blue. For over a decade, I wore every hat imaginable, overseeing more than 100 releases. I managed production, marketing, and logistics to ensure every project hit its mark. Yet, through all the spreadsheets and strategy, I never let go of my first love: getting my hands dirty to create the visual world for the artists and my label.

I live and breathe the indie ecosystem. At this stage in my career, I’m looking to apply my senior-level execution to support a catalog I truly care about. You get a creative assistant who is as strategic as he is unafraid to carry the amps.

I possess total agility in digital design tools, with a sharp focus on the high-volume needs of a busy art department. I treat every asset as a crucial piece of the artist's story. I ensure that every design spec is perfect and every brand kit is organized, allowing the Art Director to focus on the big picture while I handle the meticulous execution of every project.

Following the global shifts of the pandemic, I transitioned from the record label world to the film industry, focusing on high-level production. This experience sharpened my ability to work within massive creative ecosystems. It refined my eye for storytelling, but my heart never left the music. Now, I’m looking to bring that cinematic precision back to the indie scene with a label that truly defines it: Polyvinyl.

Thank you for your time and for everything you do for independent music. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can support the Polyvinyl Art Department.

Let’s create something meaningful together.

Sincerely,
Antonio Augusto Carraro Nouh
